Position: Automated Traffic Enforcement Camera Program Request for Proposal (RFP)

The Town of Cheverly, Maryland, through the Cheverly Police Department Automated Enforcement Program, invites qualified vendors to submit proposals to provide, implement, operate, and maintain an Automated Traffic Enforcement Camera Program.

The purpose of this solicitation is for the Town of Cheverly to select one (1) RFP Respondent (hereinafter “Contractor”) that provides the best price and demonstrates the highest level of responsiveness as determined by Town staff and the Cheverly Police Department. The Contractor selected will be required to comply with all applicable Federal, State, and local requirements, and shall utilize industry standards and best practices to design, install, operate, and maintain an Automated Traffic Enforcement Camera Program.

The Town will select one Contractor for this RFP based on the evaluation of submitted proposals and in accordance with the schedule below.

  • July 29, 2026:
    Solicitation
  • August 12, 2026:
    Questions Due by 4:30PM
  • August 27, 2026:
    Proposals Due at 12:00PM
  • August 27, 2026:
    Proposals Opened at 1:00PM
  • September 3, 2026:
    Notification of Intent to Award
  • September 10, 2026:
    Council Approval

These durations and dates are for information purposes only and the Town reserves the right to revise any of the durations and to terminate and/or to not initiate any and/or all solicitation steps.

The Town of Cheverly is seeking a qualified Contractor to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, software, and services necessary to implement an Automated Traffic Enforcement Camera Program. The Contractor shall design, install, operate, and maintain a fully functional automated enforcement system that complies with Federal, State of Maryland, and local laws and regulations.
