Merchandiser, Retail

PBNA $21.10 / hour

Position is responsible for product merchandising within large volume stores (Grocery, etc.). This includes stocking shelves, rotating shelved product, setting up displays, stocking and rotating products in coolers, organizing and rotating products in storage rooms, and moving products from storage to the sales floor. The role interacts with personnel at the store location.

Job is labor intensive, requiring lifting, loading, pushing, and pulling cases weighing 20-45 pounds per case, as well as bending, reaching, and squatting while merchandising and moving products. The schedule is consistent with specific start times but can vary with opportunity to attain different work schedules.

• Merchandise store shelving, coolers, and displays with products in assigned accounts.
• Rotate products in the backroom and on the shelf.
• Transport products between backroom and shelf location.
• Use equipment such as U Boats, hand trucks, and pallet jacks to transport products.
• Display promotional material such as signs and banners in accounts.
• Keep backroom stock neat and orderly.
• Communicate store issues to store managers and Pepsi Co management.
• Build customer relationships at the store level.
• Follow operating procedures including scan‑in/scan‑out and designated route.
• Service accounts during designated times established by management.
• Deliver customer service through communication, rapport building, and attentiveness to customer needs.
• Operate under minimal supervision (self‑managed).
• Use handheld devices to write/input orders.
• Maintain regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

• 18 years or older.
• Pass the physical capabilities test (if applicable).
• Have a car or personal transportation to access multi‑store locations within assigned shift.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Proof of insurance.

• Experience working in a retail or grocery store environment.
• Experience moving products within a store using equipment such as U‑boats, hand trucks, or dollies.
• Experience merchandising products including filling shelves, building displays, cleaning shelves, and eliminating out‑of‑stock items.
• Experience managing backroom or stockroom inventory.
• Experience serving customers and handling customer requests or complaints.

Mileage reimbursement is provided for positions that require personal vehicle use.

The role involves regular field work away from a physical company location, including visiting customer locations and interfacing with employees, vendors, and customers. Following a conditional offer of employment, the company has good cause to conduct a criminal history review in accordance with applicable laws. Background checks and drug screening are required.
