Our client is a growing, privately held real estate investment and operating platform with a hands-on approach to managing assets. Key Responsibilities

Property Accounting & Transaction Support

+ Maintain accurate financial records for a portfolio of properties

+ Process payables, receivables, and day-to-day accounting transactions

+ Review and code vendor invoices; monitor payment activity

+ Support tenant billing cycles, rent collections, and reconciliation of operating expenses

General Ledger & Financial Accuracy

+ Assist with general ledger maintenance and supporting schedules

+ Perform bank reconciliations

+ Track operating costs and ensure proper expense classifications

+ Maintain organized and audit-ready financial documentation

Reporting & Close Process

+ Support preparation of monthly financial packages and variance analysis

+ Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting activities

+ Assist with month-end close procedures across assigned properties

+ Monitor budget-to-actual performance and highlight variances

Cross-Functional Coordination

+ Partner with property management and operations teams to ensure accurate financial reporting

+ Interface with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding billing and documentation

+ Maintain organized lease files and accounting records

Requirements

Qualifications Required

+ 2-3+ years of experience in real estate or construction environments

+ Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities

+ Proficiency with Excel and standard business software tools

+ Effective communication skills and ability to work across teams

+ Comfortable in a lean, fast-paced setting with evolving priorities

+

Experience with property management or accounting systems (e.g., Yardi, Quick Books, or similar)

+ Familiarity with lease structures and operating expense reconciliations
