Our client, a leading global investment manager, is seeking a Senior Associate, Finance & Accounting to join a collaborative finance team. This role offers a unique combination of fund accounting, financial analysis, and financial modeling, providing exposure across investments, asset management, investor relations, legal, and operations. The ideal candidate will understand not only the accounting behind the numbers, but also the finance and business concepts driving investment performance.
What you’ll be doing :- Oversee fund administration activities and review quarterly financial statements
- Support liquidity analysis, including capital calls and distributions
- Maintain and update portfolio and investment-level financial models
- Perform valuation and investment performance analysis
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reporting for internal stakeholders
- Manage and maintain investment and portfolio financial data
- Support investor reporting and responses to information requests
- Partner with investment, asset management, legal, and operations teams on key initiatives
- Assist with special projects, research, and business analysis as needed
- At least 3 years of experience in private equity, investment management, fund accounting, or a related environment
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, finance concepts, and investment fund structures
- Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
- Experience with forecasting, valuation analysis, and discounted cash flow (DCF) modeling
- Knowledge of fund waterfalls, management fees, capital flows, and investment performance metrics
- Ability to explain the "why" behind financial analyses and calculations
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across a variety of stakeholder groups
- Self-motivated professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage multiple priorities
