GST, LLC. is seeking an Education Strategic Planning Specialist (II) to support the NOAA Education Council / Inter‑ and Intra‑Agency Education Coordination. This person will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Education Council and support the implementation of NOAA’s Education Strategic Plan.
NOTE: This position is contingent upon contract being awarded.
Primary Duties- Coordinate and facilitate Education Council meetings and Education Council Coordinating Committee meetings.
- Lead Pre‑Briefings to prepare Chair and Co‑Chair of the Education Council for monthly meetings.
- Lead Education Council Support Group meetings.
- Manage annual reporting to the Office of Management and Budget and White House Office of Science and Technology Policy for the Federal Coordinating Committee on STEM Education.
- Lead Council‑wide strategies in the FY 2021 NOAA Education Implementation Plan.
- Support the Office of Education Communications team with the development of the NOAA Education Annual Accomplishments Report.
- Support the collection and reporting of common metrics and other performance indicators during the annual Unified Data call.
- Master’s degree in NOAA related fields and 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Experience with data collection from multiple sources and development of reports summarizing this information.
- Experience with strategic planning and with the analytical methods and techniques for assessing and evaluating program development and execution.
- Excellent oral and writing skills.

CompensationSalary at GST is determined by various factors, including location, the individual’s combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract‑specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $ (annualized USD).
