Systems Engineer

This is a contingent position based upon contract award. K  is seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team. In this role you will be responsible for analyzing user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.

• Analyze user requirements, COEs and high‑level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Analyze system requirements and provide support to design and development activities.
• Guide users in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies.
• Provide technical guidance and support for the integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Provide technical support to application and tool development teams.
• Coordinate with software architect and other technical delivery team members to overcome technical obstacles.
• Interact with the Government regarding Systems Engineering technical considerations and associated problems, issues or conflicts.
• Communicate with other program personnel and government staff.

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Three (3) or more years’ experience with system requirements, system development and implementation, system testing, etc.
• Experience supporting the federal government or DoD.
• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.

• Ability to derive an understanding of stakeholder needs and functions that may be logically inferred and implied as essential to system effectiveness from system requirements.
• Experience supporting system requirements and system integration at the enterprise level.
• Experience following a formal procedure for coordinating system integration activities among multiple teams, ensuring complete coverage of all interfaces.
• Experience with Agile project management principles and processes.

$84,300 - $126,400 (Maryland area only)
