Education Requirements:
College Accounting/Finance Degree or equivalent experience
Experience /Skills:
- More than three years experience in accounting and supervision
- Proficiency in MS Word and Excel along with strong overall computer skills
- Effective communication skills, organizational skills, punctuality, and reliability
- Demonstrate skills in financial analysis, functions, record keeping, and general administration
- Positive and professional personality
- Thorough knowledge of general ledger systems and financial reporting
- Willingness to learn business and accounting software
- Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibilities and mentor accounting staff
- Self-starter with the ability to organize, oversee, and complete multiple tasks
- Supervise/teach accounts payable and accounts receivable to two accounting staff
- Assist CFO in completion of specific projects
- Billing and daily billing processing
- Monthly general ledger reconciliations
- Assist with daily bank reconciliations including posting ACH deposits
- Prepare annual 1099’s
- Assist with monthly closing processes
- Assist with monthly balance sheet, income statement reporting
- Monitor tax accounts and file sales tax returns
- Monthly account reconciliations and collections
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Complete other related tasks to help the business meet goals and objectives
- Perform daily duties of the CFO when needed during their absence/time-off
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to think analytically and independently, solve problems, learn quickly, manage multiple priorities, and work positively with others
- Ability to respond to continually changing priorities and coordinate multiple projects
- Ability to understand multiple frames of reference
- Ability to work in a team and communicate at all levels and with varying degrees and areas of responsibilities
- Strong prioritization skills with determination to complete tasks on time
- Strong attention to detail and well organized
