Education Requirements:

College Accounting/Finance Degree or equivalent experience

Experience /

Skills:

  • More than three years experience in accounting and supervision
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel along with strong overall computer skills
  • Effective communication skills, organizational skills, punctuality, and reliability
  • Demonstrate skills in financial analysis, functions, record keeping, and general administration
  • Positive and professional personality
  • Thorough knowledge of general ledger systems and financial reporting
  • Willingness to learn business and accounting software
  • Demonstrate willingness to accept responsibilities and mentor accounting staff
  • Self-starter with the ability to organize, oversee, and complete multiple tasks
Summary of Responsibilities:
  • Supervise/teach accounts payable and accounts receivable to two accounting staff
  • Assist CFO in completion of specific projects
  • Billing and daily billing processing
  • Monthly general ledger reconciliations
  • Assist with daily bank reconciliations including posting ACH deposits
  • Prepare annual 1099’s
  • Assist with monthly closing processes
  • Assist with monthly balance sheet, income statement reporting
  • Monitor tax accounts and file sales tax returns
  • Monthly account reconciliations and collections
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures
  • Complete other related tasks to help the business meet goals and objectives
  • Perform daily duties of the CFO when needed during their absence/time-off
  • Other duties as assigned
