GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Department of Agriculture seeks to fill an Office Support II for the Technical Services Division in Cheyenne, WY. This position is the public's primary contact with the Technical Services Division and its assigned programs and functions. Limited overnight travel may be required.

Administer licensing programs for the division:
- Process licenses, permits, and registrations in accordance with State statutes pertaining to division programs.
- Track/monitor licensees within Wyoming.
- Reconcile all monies collected for licensing programs.
- Provide licensing statistics and data to stakeholders for program compliance
- Train and assist proctors on policies/procedures regarding licensing programs in Wyoming.
Other Administrative Duties:
- Perform administrative and customer service support for the division.
- Record official minutes for division meetings and affiliate-assigned boards, including overnight travel when necessary.
- Process submitted registrations and applications for feed, fertilizer, pesticide products and pesticide applicator licensing.
- Disseminate requested information to staff and the general public.
- Sort and distribute mail, answer phones, and log time and leave sheets.
- Collect and catalogue all inspector activity reports monthly.
- Assist other department divisions as needed.
- Preference may be given to the applicant with customer service and communication experience.
- Preference may be given to the applicant with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Programs, Google applications, and virtual meeting hosting.
- Preference may be given to the applicant with licensing database management experience.
- Knowledge of applicable computer applications.
- Knowledge of records processing and maintenance procedures and systems.
- Knowledge in the preparation of complicated documents.
- Knowledge and understanding of the agency and each respective division/program.
Education:
Associate s Degree (typically in Business, Agriculture, or other closely-related field)
Experience:
0-2 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist I
OR
Education & Experience Substitution:
2-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Business Office Communications) with acquired knowledge at the level of an Office Support Specialist I

None
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying light items, driving an automobile, etc.
- Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
