Contracts Associate 2
Western Eco Systems Technology, Inc. (WEST) is seeking a full‑time Contracts Associate in Cheyenne, WY or Fort Collins, CO.
Key Details- Salary: $52,000–$55,000 plus annual profit‑sharing bonus potential, based on education, knowledge and experience.
- Location: Full‑time office position, five days a week, in Cheyenne, WY, Laramie, WY, or Fort Collins, CO.
The ideal candidate will have experience in high‑level legal and contracts functions and will support the Contracts Manager in various capacities. Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Proofreading legal documents for accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Recommending contract terms and conditions for negotiation.
- Preparing, interpreting and verifying contracts and associated paperwork for signatures.
- Monitoring existing contracts to ensure timely renewals.
- Posting key contractual language for easy access by WEST employees.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of contract‑management processes.
- Providing administrative support to the Contracts Manager, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
- Conducting legal research and summarizing findings.
- Providing training to staff.
- Coordinating with internal departments and external parties to facilitate contract execution.
- Maintaining and organizing contract files and documentation.
- Managing the full subcontractor lifecycle, including:
- Incorporating client‑required flow‑down provisions into agreements.
- Ensuring all contracts are fully executed in a timely manner.
- Verifying subcontractor insurance coverage meets client requirements.
- Coordinating with the Health & Safety team to confirm all required H&S documentation is completed by the subcontractor and approved prior to work commencement.
- Generating and issuing purchase orders in accordance with project requirements.
- Minimum of an associate degree or
- Minimum of two years’ experience in professional procurement and/or contracting.
- Problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication proficiency.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
- Excellent written, interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling information and documentation.
- Detail-oriented in all transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to prioritize and make independent decisions.
After an offer is made, the candidate must successfully pass a pre‑employment background check, drug screening, and DMV records check meeting WEST’s minimum criteria. A valid driver’s license is required.
