Bechtel Infrastructure’s Renewables & Clean Power business line is seeking qualified project controls professionals for forthcoming combined cycle power plant projects planned in Texas and Wyoming. Following contract award, selected candidates will relocate to designated project sites. Job Summary:This position is for a Document Management Technician to provide support to the project. Under the direction of the Project Document Manager, the Document Management Technician will provide support to the project team and perform documents management tasks in accordance with applicable governance documents. #LI-KL1 #LI-Onsite
Major Responsibilities:- Utilize the project ECMS to register, control, distribute, transmit, file and archive project documents.
- Provide Aconex training to the project team and other organizations (internal and external).
- Communicate effectively with project team members, client, and field personnel to ensure quality, schedule and budget are met as defined.
- Support quality assurance audits, internal technical reviews, client reviews, and external audits.
- Prepare routine documents and reports using standard Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, or other office software as needed to support work activities.
- May attend and participate in Supplier Kick off meetings.
- Ensure supplier and customer documentation is processed within established schedule standards and procedures.
- Keeps abreast of department technologies, techniques, and services that are available. Operates standard office equipment, copiers, and automation tools.
- Compile information, analyze and prepare reports, and establish metrics for document/records management activities.
- Provide technical guidance and training to project team members in the use of automated document management tools.
- Work in an integrated team (Client, partners, suppliers, and Bechtel). Maintain ongoing visibility into the status of all items by preparing and distributing monthly reports to the function, summarizing key milestones, progress updates risks, and upcoming actions.
- Perform / Assist in other general administrative activities as required.
- Must have a minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in document/records management and experience using commercial electronic content management systems.
- Must have the right to work and remain in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 3 years’ current experience performing document management and/or document control processes. Experience must have been obtained within the past 4 years.
- Must be able to demonstrate basic to intermediate proficiency using standard office automation tools, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Skills assessments to determine proficiency level may be administered.
- Must be able to organize and prioritize assigned document management tasks.
- Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and to accuracy.
- Have strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Have ability to work flexibly and collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Must be flexible and able to accept and quickly adapt to changes in work focus.
- Must be willing and able to work overtime with little or no notice as necessary.
- Document/records management in the construction, or engineering industry.
- Experience using Aconex, to include using and managing workflows.
- Ability to work on a construction job site with changing daily site conditions.
