GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

WYDOT is seeking a detail-oriented, forward-thinking Project Delivery Coordinator to join the Program Performance team. This position serves as the manager of project data supporting the delivery of a 6-year Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). This position will assist with planning, organization, training, and data management of WYDOT project management activities, actively driving the execution of vital public infrastructure.

Cheyenne is a steadily growing community along the Front Range, but still true to the history of the Old West. The city offers nearby mountain biking, skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. Cheyenne is the home to the "Daddy of 'em All" - Cheyenne Frontier Days - held every last week of July. Wyoming is one of only nine states with no state income tax.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.

* Lead data management efforts to keep over 400 highway design and construction projects on track and on budget.

* Perform deep-dive data analysis to ensure project data remains accurate, up-to-date, and reliable.

* Design, build, and deliver creative training modules, online classes, and job aids to assist statewide users in mastering software and reporting tools.

* Build customized, technical reports utilizing specialized software to provide WYDOT programs with data analytics.

* Support project managers by identifying logistical needs, scheduling projects, taking detailed notes, and ensuring access to critical data.

Qualifications

PREFERENCES:

Preference may be given to an applicant with a Bachelor's Degree in Records and Data Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management or a closely related field with 1-2 years of progressive experience.

KNOWLEDGE:

* Experience (or a rapid ability to learn) with project scheduling software like Primavera, database/report writing tools like Crystal Reports, document management systems (Falcon), and daily productivity tools (Google Workspace and MS Office).

* A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to data integrity.

* The ability to translate complex data or technical processes into clear, accessible concepts for various stakeholders.

* A collaborative spirit and the professional skills necessary to work effectively across all levels of the organization.

* The ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, engineering-focused environment.

* Proven ability to integrate seamlessly into cross-functional teams, actively contribute to collective project goals, and support colleagues to ensure overall team success.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree (typically in Records or Data Management)

Experience:

0-1 year of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk

OR

Education & Experience Substitution:

3-4 years of progressive work experience (typically in Records and Data Management) with acquired knowledge at the level of a Records & Data Management Clerk
