Testing Center Proctor I
The Testing Center Proctor I is a full-time role responsible for coordinating and administering exams in the LCCC Testing Center, ensuring test security and adherence to institutional procedures. The position involves working with a wide range of students, faculty, and national certification services to deliver computer- and paper-based exams, including those for distance learning, accommodated students, and national certifications. Additionally, the proctor prepares usage reports and maintains a secure, professional testing environment to uphold academic integrity.
Hours of Work:
Monday
- Friday 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Screening will begin ASAP and continue until the position is filled. Start date to be determined, but as soon as practicable after the hiring/interview process.
Salary and Benefits:
This is a full-time, benefited Staff, S24 level position. Starting wage range: $15.87 - $17.92/hourly, depending upon experience. Essential Functions:
This position is non-exempt, i.e., is eligible for compensatory or overtime pay provisions of the FLSA. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Administrative – Knowledge of administrative and office procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and workplace terminology.
- Customer and Personal Service – Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- English Language – Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Inventory Control – Knowledge of inventory control principles and methods.
- Office Procedures – Knowledge of office procedures and of spelling, grammar, punctuation and arithmetic.
- Records Administration – Knowledge of records administration and maintenance techniques and procedures.
- Regulatory Compliance – Knowledge of laws, regulations and standards applicable to the job, specifically FERPA and Title IX.
- Active Learning – Understanding the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making.
