- Lead the charge in expanding and diversifying Registered Apprenticeships across Wyoming
- Turn strategy into action by aligning daily work with the DWS Apprenticeship strategic plan
- Build strong referral pipelines within DWS and across the state
- Collaborate with internal teams, businesses, educators, and workforce partners
- Bring apprenticeships into new industries and occupations to meet employer demand
- Innovate, problem‑solve, and make smart, collaborative decisions that impact Wyoming’s workforce

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed at the job level.
- Participate in statewide planning and information/resource sharing efforts to strategically advance the expansion and integration of apprenticeships into the Wyoming workforce.
- Collaborate with programs under the Business Training and Support Unit to identify and cultivate apprenticeship development opportunities that meet evolving industry needs.
- Partner with DWS Business Representatives, Workforce Center Managers, and local workforce center staff to deliver engaging training on Apprenticeships and current grant initiatives
- Maintain a close partnership and dynamic working relationship with the Wyoming Department of Labor - Office of Apprenticeship to stay informed about new Registered Apprenticeship sponsors across the state, share updates on existing sponsors, and explore emerging industry and occupation models.
- Work directly with a variety of key workforce partners, including the Wyoming Workforce Development Council, Next Gen Sector Partnership groups, Wyoming Business Alliance, Wyoming Economic Development Associations, Wyoming State Chamber of Commerce, and the Wyoming State Council of Human Resources to provide technical assistance and comprehensive support to businesses and potential sponsors developing Registered Apprenticeship programs.
- Collaborate with community colleges, universities, workforce boards, and other intermediary organizations that provide related instruction for business sponsors to support the development of program standards, structured theoretical learning, and mentorship frameworks.
- Work directly with employers to identify eligible occupations and build Registered Apprenticeship Programs aligned with workforce demand.
- Provide technical assistance to Registered Apprenticeship Programs and Wyoming business and industry to support and develop a streamlined, efficient process for grant utilization.
