About This Role

Intermountain Electric Inc. (IME) is seeking a Project Scheduler to join our growing team. This role supports large projects in Cheyenne, WY, working closely with the construction team, project managers, and operations to develop and maintain the overall schedule. You will build and update schedules at milestones and as scopes of work are added, and provide updates to key team members on project progress.

Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Development and Monitoring:
    Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to develop comprehensive project schedules. Regularly update and monitor project schedules, address scheduling conflicts, and use MS Project and Primavera to create detailed timelines.
  • Resource Allocation:
    Analyze project requirements and allocate resources (labor, equipment, materials) to meet deadlines; coordinate with departments to ensure resource availability.
  • Risk Management:

    Identify potential risks, develop contingency plans, and collaborate with teams to mitigate delays.
  • Communication:
    Convey project schedules to stakeholders and provide regular updates on progress and risks.
  • Quality Control:
    Ensure schedules align with objectives and quality standards; conduct regular reviews and assist with difficult scheduling problems.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Full working knowledge of engineering, procurement, construction terminology and concepts to develop and maintain critical path logic.
  • Ability to understand impact of design changes and schedule slippages; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict management and negotiation.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision; ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, materials, and methods.
  • Proficiency in MS Project and Primavera for creating and managing project schedules.
  • Strong due diligence and risk assessment capabilities; impeccable integrity and ethics with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated Accomplishments In The Following Areas
  • Successful completion of large multi-year construction projects from start to close out.
  • Successful analysis of monthly progress and impact data.
  • Fully proficient in MS Project and Primavera 6.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field, or a relevant combination of experience and education.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction scheduling.
  • Electrical industry experience preferred.
Working Conditions

The majority of time is in a typical office environment, with site visits to construction locations. On sites, typical conditions include extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud, debris, welding, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in confined spaces. You may visit multiple locations in a single day.

A substantial amount of PTO is provided and a generously matched and fully vested 401k is available. Salary range: $85,000–$138,000. Final salary determined by education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
