Construction Safety Professional - Data Center Project

Pay: $40-$50 per hour (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Construction Safety Professional to join our team on a large-scale data center construction project in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The ideal candidate will be a proactive safety leader with experience in commercial, industrial, or mission-critical construction environments. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, site-specific safety requirements, and promoting a strong safety culture across the project.

Key Responsibilities

+ Conduct daily jobsite safety inspections and field observations.

+ Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and project-specific safety policies.

+ Lead new hire safety orientations and daily toolbox talks.

+ Perform Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and risk assessments.

+ Investigate incidents, near misses, and safety concerns while implementing corrective actions.

+ Maintain accurate safety documentation, reports, inspections, and training records.

+ Work closely with project management, subcontractors, and craft personnel to identify and eliminate hazards.

+ Monitor high-risk activities, including crane operations, excavation, confined space, fall protection, hot work, and electrical safety.

+ Promote a positive safety culture through coaching, mentoring, and employee engagement.

+ Participate in owner and contractor safety meetings.

Qualifications

+ Minimum of 3-5 years of construction safety experience.

+ Previous experience on data center, industrial, manufacturing, or large commercial construction projects preferred.

+ OSHA 30-Hour Construction certification required.

+ Current First Aid/CPR certification preferred.

+ Knowledge of OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E, and construction safety best practices.

+ Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and walk active construction sites daily.

Preferred Certifications

+ CHST (Construction Health and Safety Technician)

+ CSP (Certified Safety Professional)

+ OSHA 500/510

+ EM 385-1-1 experience is a plus
