Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join our team in Cheyenne, Wyoming. This role is responsible for overseeing daily field operations and taking full ownership of assigned job sites. The Superintendent plays a critical role in ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with New Peak’s quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a confident, hands‑on leader with extensive experience in single‑family, high‑density residential, and commercial construction, a proven ability to lead diverse teams through complex build cycles, and a track record of clear communication, effective subcontractor management, and proactive problem‑solving in the field.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee all on-site construction activities from project start through completion
- Manage daily schedules, sequencing, and workflow to keep projects on track
- Coordinate, supervise, and hold subcontractors accountable for quality and timelines
- Ensure job site safety and compliance with OSHA standards
- Read and interpret complex blueprints, structural drawings, and MEP schematics
- Conduct routine quality control inspections
- Maintain clean, organized, and professional job sites
- Communicate progress and issues with the Project Manager and leadership team
- Resolve field issues quickly and effectively
- Assist with punch lists, inspections, and project closeout
- 5+ years of experience as a Construction Superintendent or similar leadership role
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred (not required for candidates with extensive field experience)
- Strong knowledge of single-family, multifamily residential construction and/or commercial construction methods and sequencing
- Experience managing single-family, high-density residential, and commercial construction projects
- Ability to read blueprints and construction documents
- Familiarity with Job Tread, , or similar software
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Working knowledge of OSHA safety knowledge
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
- Ability to pass a background check (required)
- Comfortable with basic technology
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
- Must be able to visit and navigate active construction job sites in all weather conditions
- Must be able traverse uneven terrain and climb stairs/scaffolding in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand or walk for long periods
