Responsibilities
- Serve as a Crime and Public Safety/Education Reporter
- Cover breaking news and crime/public safety issues
- Provide broader context behind events
- Collaborate with reporters and photographers for in-depth stories
- Ability to turn around a story on a tight deadline
- Clear, concise writing
- Willingness to collaborate with fellow newsroom members
- Solid foundation in news writing and AP style
- Knowledge of the BLOX content management system (preferred)
- Experience with or willingness to learn weekly podcast reporting and editing skills (preferred)
- Photography skills or willingness to learn (preferred)
- Data analysis using spreadsheets and databases (preferred)
