POSITION: Special Education Teacher (Resource)
LOCATION: Gannett Peak Elementary
SALARY: $52,200 starting base salary; full benefits
CONTRACT: Full Time, 185-day contract, with Full Benefits – Remainder of the School Year
START DATE: As Soon As Possible

QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must hold, or be eligible to hold, a Wyoming teaching certificate with an appropriate special education endorsement and must be highly qualified as a special education teacher. Other designed qualifications include:
- ability to work well with students with multiple ability levels;
- ability to make modifications and/or accommodations for students in the regular classroom;
- the ability to work well with other teachers, staff, and parents; strong knowledge of special education rules and regulations;
- ability to supervise paraprofessionals;
- flexible and organized;
- able to take initiative;
- computer skills;
- willingness to participate in planning meetings and district trainings;
- willingness to grow professionally.
JOB DESCRIPTION: This position will provide quality instructional services to meet the needs of students with a variety of learning disabilities; will utilize a variety of instructional techniques and technologies; supervise paraprofessionals; meet with general ed teachers to ensure that IEP requirements are being met and to obtain information about student performance; meet all legal requirements; submit all required.
