Instructional faculty for the STEM program facilitates learning through lectures, labs, discussions, assignments and assessments aligned with the college’s curriculum and academic standards. May be asked to teach various modalities and courses such as Introduction to Computer Science, Computer Science I and/or II.
Compensation$850 per credit hour.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge- Curriculum Development – Designing syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments that align with learning outcomes.
- Instructional Strategies – Effective teaching methods for diverse student populations, including in‑person, online, and hybrid learning.
- Classroom Management – Engaging students, handling conflicts, and fostering an inclusive learning environment.
- Use of Technology – Utilizing presentation software, learning management systems (LMS), Office 365 Microsoft software, and digital communication tools.
- Assessment & Evaluation – Creating rubrics, grading, and assessing written or oral communication skills.
- Professional Knowledge – Understanding of computer programming languages and various AI tools and programs.
- Speaking – Talking to others to convey information effectively.
- Instructing – Teaching others how to do something.
- Learning Strategies – Selecting and using training or instructional methods appropriate for the situation when learning or teaching new things.
- Active Learning – Understanding the implications of new information for current and future problem‑solving and decision‑making.
- Active Listening – Giving full attention, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
