Student Ministry Director

The Student Ministry Director leads the way in helping our 7th-12th grade students learn and live the Way of Jesus together.

This is done by equipping the saints for the work of the ministry–building a team to help students give their life to Jesus Christ, grow deep roots in Him, and learn to give their lives in service to the Kingdom.

We desire a strategy that includes a mixture of a compelling weekly program, smaller discussion contexts, quarterly/semi-annual events, and the ability to be known 1-1 by an adult leader.

We want our student ministry director to be able to evaluate our current Fusion programming and enhance it with their own strengths.

• Prioritize a strong leadership team and serve culture in Fusion:
  Leaders who take the initiative to seek students out, Leaders who are confident in communicating the Way of Jesus to our students, and Leaders who show a high level of character and are role models for our young people.
• Create a compelling program that engages and activates students to participate:
  Strong, clear, biblical preaching with practical application, Enhance a worship culture that helps students encounter Jesus, and Promote a fun, attractive, hospitable environment.
• Unleash students to serve! Build some opportunities for students to serve their own age group and peers, Help students see their responsibility to the wider church and serve outside of Fusion, and Activate students to serve our community.
• Reach students for Jesus! We want students to learn the way of Jesus–invite students to salvation and baptism, and We want students to live the way of Jesus–help students grow deeper roots in Him.

The student ministry director will report to the executive pastor and oversee the Student Ministry Resident.

While not specifically related to the job, here are some personal responsibilities of everyone on staff at Element Church.

• Maintain God-ordained priorities in your life by putting Jesus Christ first, your spouse second, (if applicable) your children third (if applicable) and the ministry fourth.
• Live out our Element Community Rule of Life and embody our staff culture markers
• Be loyal to the vision and staff of Element Church and always protect the unity of the church.
• Pray for the ministry
• Fosters a volunteer environment of gratitude, appreciation, and joy.
• Invest and invite the lost to know Jesus and come to Element Church.

• Bachelor’s degree in pastoral ministry or equivalent.

This is a full-time, salaried position around 45 hours a week.
