Dental Hygiene Supervising Dentist/Clinic And Lab Instructor

The Dental Hygiene supervising dentist/clinic and lab instructor is responsible for supervising patient care provided by dental hygiene students and dental hygienist instructors. This position is a non-benefited position responsible for developing and delivering engaging course content. This position facilitates learning through clinics, labs, discussions aligned with the college's curriculum and academic standards. The Adjunct Instructor collaborates with department staff to ensure course materials and delivery meet the needs of the student population.

At a minimum, the related activities include: program promotion; academic advising; serving on various committees; student clinic instruction, remediation and evaluation for the assessment of oral abnormalities, radiographic interpretations, dental diagnosis, preventive prescriptions, pain management; and in the event of a medical emergency in the dental hygiene clinic, function as the emergency director. The supervising dentist is available for faculty, staff, student and patient consultation and referrals as needed.

The supervising dentist is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend at the Laramie County Community College dental hygiene clinic or outreach center as assigned. A faculty member performs all other duties as directed by the Division Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs, or the President or designee.

Faculty further serve the College in collaborative and collegial relationships across the institution. Full-time faculty are offered provisional status upon employment. All LCCC faculty are supported by the Faculty Academy within the Center for Teaching & Learning.

Other duties may be assigned based on institutional need.

Compensation: $50.31/hour.
