RESPEC seeks an Early Career Engineer to join our team in our Cheyenne, WY
.
This position requires demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and business practices to plan and execute a diverse range of engineering projects. The primary focus of the role is the reclamation of abandoned mine lands, supporting projects from planning through design and construction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist with the planning, investigation, inventory, design, and construction oversight of abandoned mine land projects
- Support site assessments and geotechnical investigations of mined lands
- Assist in the design of mine opening closures and regrading activities
- Assist in the design and reclamation of hazardous highwalls
- Assist in the design of drainage conveyance systems, including channels, under drains, and other stormwater controls
Required:
- Bachelor of science or master of science degree in civil, environmental, or mining engineering from an ABET accredited university
- A minimum of 1 year of mining engineering work experience
- At least 1 year of experience using mining-related software such as AutoCAD Map 3D, Carlson, ArcGIS Pro
- A minimum of 1 year of experience interpreting and applying the guidelines in the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)
Compensation:Salary depends on experience and expertise. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company, and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
