Cabinet Estimator

The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates
• Blueprint Analysis:
  Read and interpret complex architectural drawings and builder specifications to visualize cabinet layouts.
• Material Takeoffs:
  Quantify the exact amount of wood, hardware, finishes, and accessories required.
• Cost Calculation:
  Compute expenses for materials, fabrication, shipping, and on-site installation.
• Bid Preparation:
  Draft detailed, competitive proposals and submit them to contractors, homebuilders, or clients.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  
  Coordinate with sales teams, designers, engineers, and production managers to ensure estimates are realistic and profitable

Qualifications

• Software Proficiency:
  Experience with industry-standard estimating and drafting programs like, AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Plan Swift, or Bluebeam.
• Math & Spatial Reasoning:
  Strong construction math skills and an ability to translate 2D drawings into physical, 3D cabinets.
• Industry Knowledge:
  Deep understanding of cabinetry construction methods, woodworking materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Communication:
  Ability to negotiate with vendors, clarify bid requirements with clients, and work effectively with field installation teams
