The Loan Program Administrator contributes to the credit union by managing, administrating, and documenting the performance of assigned Lending Programs. Serves as a subject matter expert, partnering and collaborating with both Member Solutions and Lending Management. Creates procedures and prepares/updates and workflows. Oversees the performance and controls of the program and directs communications with stakeholders. Partner with Lending Management to assess the credit union’s risk level associated with the program by monitoring exposure and ensuring monthly loan maximum is not exceeded.
Works closely with Member Solutions Management team to monitor delinquency and ensure insurance claims are filed and paid, if applicable. Monitors associated Vendor’s SLA to ensure service meets commitment made to Credit Union. Responsible for providing prompt, exceptional member service while reviewing indirect, consumer, and real estate loan requests to assess the credit union’s risk level associated with making a loan and rendering decisions accordingly.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily functionality of the assigned loan program to ensure the program operates smoothly helping to meet service level agreements. Partner with Meridian Link Administrator to manage and facilitate internal and third-party requests for supported software releases, upgrades, and enhancements. Partners with Lending and Member Solutions Management team to ensure program performance meets the expectations of the Credit Union. Periodically meet and collaborate with Lending and Member Solutions Management team to deliver performance reports, enabling a comprehensive understanding of opportunities and objectives.
- Level III underwriting authority which includes Home Equity authority, higher secured and unsecured authority. Receives loan requests originated through a variety of loan channels for review. Analyzes relevant components of more complex and escalated requests, including real estate, and uses judgment and discretion to make the appropriate decision while managing the credit union’s risk.
- Performs portfolio review on participation loan purchases, assess the risk and make recommendation. Assist in preparing loan pools for sale.
- Must comply with all company policies and procedures, applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
Experience
Five to eight years of similar or related experience, including system and/or program administration, end-to-end underwriting and monitoring internal control experience. Medium to advanced knowledge of the loan origination system. Underwriter III authority level.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or equivalent. Incumbents are required to qualify and maintain active registration with the National Mortgage Licensing System throughout their employment.
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.

Starting Range: $26.54 - $29.73
Full Range: $25.58 - $38.37

Is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
