Position: AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE MANAGER with Security Clearance
Duties This position is in the 153d Airlift Wing (153 AW), 153d Air Base Group (153 ABG), 153d Maintenance Squadron (153 MXS) and the purpose is to serve as the Aircraft Maintenance Manager and Commander for the 153 MXS, with responsibility for directing and managing the Squadron. It is the critical managerial position with responsibility for the maintenance, repair, airworthiness, and combat readiness of wing-assigned military aircraft within the squadron.

It partners with the 153 ABG/CC, as well as the other Commanders and organizations in the AW in planning, scheduling, and implementing a flying program following Operational Risk Management (ORM) concepts. The supervised workforce may fluctuate daily to meet mission requirements. The workforce includes Title 32 Military Technicians, Traditional Guard members, Active Guard/ Reserve (AGR), National Guard Title 5 Employees, state employees, other civilian, and military duty personnel.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members. Must submit vMPF Rip, DVR, or CDB with resume Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. To inquire about Recruiting into the WY Air National Guard, contact  for assistance. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial and one-year supervisory probation period.

Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentives ARE NOT authorized. PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT

CONDITIONS:

Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. If you have questions regarding these bonuses/incentives, contact  for assistance. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).

Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Work may require access to classified information. Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance.
2. Drug Testing Required.
3. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position.
4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may require working hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. Occasionally required to travel away from the normal duty station. Must be willing and able to travel on military and commercial aircraft.
6. Required to maintain qualifications and/or certifications of position assigned.
7. Duties and responsibilities may significantly impact the environment. Responsible to maintain awareness of environmental responsibilities as dictated by legal and regulatory requirements, organization, and its changing mission.
8. Position does not require the piloting or pilot instructing of military aircraft. Qualifications AREAS OF CONSIDERATION:
The consideration of qualified eligible candidates will be as follows:
Area 1:
All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 MXS. Area 2:
All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4:
All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6:
Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position.…
