Duties This Loadmaster position is assigned to the 153d Operations Group of the 153d Airlift Wing operating C-130 aircraft. GS-8:
The primary purpose of this position is to perform aircrew duties as loadmaster and to perform related staff support duties. This is a developmental position to the full performance position of Loadmaster (Instructor), GS-2185-09. GS-9:
The primary purpose of this position is to administer, schedule, and conduct flight and ground training which develops, upgrades, and evaluates the skills of loadmaster aircrew members; performs aircrew duties as an instructor loadmaster in the C-130 aircraft and performs related staff support duties; to train crew members in these duties.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:
Open to current active-duty Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard members. Must become a military member of the Wyoming Air Nat'l Guard before appt. May be required to successfully complete a two-year trial period. Federal employment suitability is determined by a background investigation. Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY BE authorized, if eligible. Subject to funding and TAG approval.
PCS costs are not authorized. Must be willing to relocate at own expense if selected. EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Technicians are paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT). Military Technicians are ineligible for military enlistment, retention, and student loan repayment bonuses. Acceptance of a Technician position will terminate these military incentives. If you have questions regarding these bonuses/incentives, contact for assistance. Acceptance of a permanent or indefinite position will cause termination from the Selected Reserve Incentive Program (SRIP) and TRICARE Reserve Select (TRS).
Veteran's preference does not apply to National Guard Technician positions in accordance with Title 32 USC 709(f). CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1. Must attain and maintain mission-ready status at the appropriate crew qualification level in the unit's assigned aircraft. Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization evaluation examinations to include random no notice evaluations. 2. The incumbent is exposed to physiological hazards of flight plus physical and psychological demands of routine lengthy missions (up to 24 hours duration), must work in confined, hazardous noise areas, is subject to inclement weather during ground operations and dangerous environmental conditions during flight and may operate in austere location.
3. May be required to travel in military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.
4. Required to maintain proficiency in the use of firearms. As prescribed by regulation, may be required to carry and use a concealed weapon while performing aircrew related duties. 5. GS-9 candidates must be instructor qualified, maintaining proficiency in the Principles of Instruction. 6. GS-9 incumbents will be required to maintain flight examiner qualification. Periodically, as prescribed by regulations, must take and pass written and in-flight standardization/ evaluation examinations to include random no-notice evaluations.

All permanent and indefinite Wyoming National Guard (NG) WY ANG employees assigned to the 153 OG. Area 2:
All permanent and indefinite Wyoming Air National Guard (ANG) T32 Dual Status technicians employed within the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 4:
All current military members of the Wyoming Air National Guard. Area 6:
Current military service members to include the US Air Force, Air Force Reserves, and other states' Air National Guard units. Must be willing/eligible to join the Wyoming Air National Guard as a military member prior to appointment to position. TECHNICIAN INFO Type of Appointment:
