Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Provider Services Data Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of provider data across multiple internal systems. Your work directly supports provider onboarding, regulatory requirements, directory accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Location: Remote
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm EST.

- Manage and update provider demographics, credentialing, and contract data within internal systems.
- Perform data validation, data clean-up activities, and quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency across all provider records.
- Collaborate with Provider Relations, IT, Billing teams to research, resolve, and prevent data discrepancies.
- Support provider directory production by ensuring provider data meets regulatory and compliance standards.
- Assist with audits and other administrative or operational tasks as assigned.
- 2+ years of experience working in healthcare operations, provider services, claims, or data management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy while working with high-volume of data.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and ability to navigate multiple systems using dual monitors.
- Experience with provider data platforms such as Facets.

CompensationHourly Rate and Other Compensation:
Applications will be accepted until March 2, 2026.
The hourly rate for this position is between $16.00 – $19.00 per hour depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
