Hotel Housekeeping
Maintains the hotel’s public areas and grounds in a high level of cleanliness and organization in accordance with company and franchise standards and provides excellent customer service to the hotels guests.
Work Schedule- Requires mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Monday through Sunday.
- Request to be scheduled off for a specific day requires advance notification and approval.
- Cleans and sanitizes assigned public areas in accordance with company and franchise policy. Assists the executive housekeeper as needed with deliveries, cots, cribs, trash, etc. Assists front desk associates with deliveries to guest and meeting rooms and the cleaning of guest rooms after hours.
- Prepares, sets up housekeeping and linen carts in accordance with standards.
- Ensures hotel equipment, such as carts, vacuums, and a/v equipment are maintained properly and secured.
- Ensures cleaning supplies and chemicals are used properly and all bottles are properly labeled in accordance with the chemical policy.
- Provides excellent customer service that goes above and beyond, to the hotel’s guests. Always conducts themselves in a professional manner. Observes the company’s 10-4 rule. Immediately addresses guests’ requests.
- Properly attired in uniform and nametag, in accordance with franchise and company grooming and uniform policy.
- Communicates with superiors and co-workers about the status of guest requests and assigned tasks.
- Provides safety and security for the hotel and its guests. Alerts staff and guests to unsafe conditions and follows the company safety and security policies. Always observes and partakes of the hotel key control procedures. Is familiar with the hotel emergency plan and is able to confidently participate in emergency training procedures. Observes guest and hotel confidentiality procedures. Uses the hotel safe lifting procedures.
Reports all incidents and injuries to the appropriate supervisor. - Provides input and ideas on the operation of the hotel. Participates in training initiatives and skill development.
- Completes any other task requested by a supervisor, including training new associates.
- Knowledge of the appropriate use of chemicals thorough understanding and practice of the chemical safety.
- Ability to withstand the use of necessary chemicals and odors.
- Ability to complete all brand or company required training within the necessary timeframe.
- Availability to work on all shifts, during the normal operating hours of the property.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and spend most day, standing, walking, folding, picking up linen, etc. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach, push, pull, stretch, and step while performing job tasks. Must be able to lift 25 lbs. or greater.
- Must have 20/20 vision, corrected or uncorrected, to provide for attention to detail.
- Must maintain valid Cheyenne and Arapaho Gaming License/Permit.
May include, but may not be limited to, burns, cuts, slipping, tripping, injury incurred through performance of physical labor. Also may include chemicals.
