We are hiring a General Superintendent at our Cheyenne, WY operation. In this role, you'll manage the extensive backload of work under the direction of the General Manager for the construction of heavy civil public and private construction projects.
Responsibilities- Provide supervision for Superintendents and Foremen.
- Provide daily coaching to field Foremen and Superintendents.
- Create and manage project schedules.
- Track and report daily costs.
- Review the WIP.
- Monitor and communicate project progress, identifying any concerns, delays or issues to senior managers, agencies and project owners.
- Review daily labor reports and recommend adjustments as needed.
- Manage equipment for appropriate utilization and maintenance.
- Ensure inventory for projects is available and tracked.
- Provide direction to field supervisors for employee relations issues.
- Perform other duties as required.
- 5 years of supervisory experience for the construction of heavy civil projects.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships.
- Effectively plan work and communicate plan to field supervisors, project managers, agencies, owners and community.
- Prior experience tracking costs as they relate to budget to ensure projects meet financial goals.
- Prioritize deadlines, stay organized and work well in fast-paced environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, state and federal regulations.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Ability to work overtime, some nights and weekends as projects require.
- Experience with WYDOT rules and regulations a plus.
