What You'll DoKey Responsibilities
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large‑scale, mission‑critical data center construction projects. This role provides strategic and operational leadership across project planning, scheduling, resource management, financial performance, and client relationships.
As a senior leader, this position collaborates across departments and oversees a team of project managers—setting the standard for quality, accountability, and ethical leadership while ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest performance standards.
Project Planning & Strategic Ingenuity
- Develop and lead comprehensive project plans that define scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines for complex, mission‑critical data center projects.
- Strategically identify and allocate human and material resources to ensure optimal project execution while balancing risk, cost, and schedule.
- Lead, coordinate, and align multidisciplinary project teams, including subcontractors and internal partners, to drive consistency and performance.
- Establish clear expectations, assign responsibilities, and provide direction to ensure effective resource utilization and adherence to critical milestones.
- Continuously evaluate project risks, resolve issues decisively, and adapt plans as conditions change—demonstrating ingenuity and sound judgment at scale.
Quality Control & Craftsmanship
- Set and enforce rigorous quality control standards that reflect a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship and reliability in mission‑critical environments.
- Conduct regular inspections and collaborate with clients, designers, field teams, and subcontractors to address quality concerns proactively.
- Monitor construction progress, lead regular status meetings, and ensure schedules are maintained throughout all phases of construction.
- Ensure complete, accurate, and timely project documentation, reinforcing transparency, accountability, and integrity.
Budget Management & Financial Stewardship
- Lead oversight of project financials, including forecasting, cost control, and risk exposure, with a strong emphasis on responsible stewardship and value delivery.
- Review and negotiate client contracts, including scope, terms, schedules, and services, ensuring alignment and clarity for all stakeholders.
- Monitor optimal utilization of labor, materials, and equipment across large project teams and multiple work streams.
- Quantify cost and schedule impacts associated with design or construction changes and communicate implications clearly and promptly to stakeholders.
