Position: (USA) Senior Manager, Operations Improvement - Licensed

Position Summary

Walmart is expanding its workforce across local retail stores and is actively recruiting a Senior Manager for Operations Improvement. If you possess relevant experience in this field, we invite you to bring your skills to our fast‑paced and welcoming work environment.

As a Senior Manager for Operations Improvement, you will supervise multiple projects, defining scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones, and timelines. You will coordinate planning activities, assemble management plans, track changes, manage governance, identify resources, monitor budgets and costs, and deliver presentations, status reports, and other project documentation to stakeholders at regular intervals.

Responsibilities
  • Would require approximately 50% or more travel within the region and maintain Mechanical Contractor Licenses in the state of employment.
  • Works directly with Store Managers and Facility Services Leadership on their facility services needs.
  • Manages content management initiatives by evaluating, prioritizing, designing, developing, automating, and maintaining tools, templates, and resources; collaborates with the team to implement intranet content; provides guidance on platform functionality, communication approaches, and content quality standards; audits and tracks content variables; and adapts methods to resolve audit concerns.
  • Directs processes and procedures for areas of responsibility by analyzing data to identify existing standards, processes, governance, and workflows; evaluates key business components for current performance baselines; identifies improvement areas; edits existing processes and develops solutions; ensures program processes are simple and executable with manageable roll‑out plans; consults with cross‑functional teams for alignment; ensures sustainability; and communicates changes to stakeholders to drive behavior change.
  • Manages behavior change and process improvement programs by evaluating and determining change and improvement needs; partners with cross‑functional teams to develop operational strategy; provides guidance on company policies and procedures; ensures proper controls, tools, and materials; partners with stakeholders for alignment and support; monitors program performance; identifies post‑implementation issues; and develops and gains buy‑in on changes and resolutions.
  • Drives execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability to support continuous learning.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting, training, mentoring, assigning duties; building a team‑based work environment; establishing performance expectations; conducting evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success; and ensuring belonging awareness.
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and ethics by training and directing others in their application; ensuring compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy.
  • Ensures business needs are met by evaluating effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with partners; soliciting and applying suggestions for improvement; and supporting community outreach events.
Hard Skill Sets Needed
  • General Facilities Services / Overall Building Maintenance Experience – 3‑5 years would be optimal.
  • Electrical, plumbing, and/or mechanical experience.
  • Leadership skills – Able to lead, motivate, and develop others.
  • Communication/Interpersonal skills.
  • Problem‑solving skills – Root cause and breakdown analysis experience.
  • Customer service.
Soft Skill Sets Needed
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • PMP Certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma.
  • Maintain Mechanical Contractor Licenses in state of employment.
