Health & Safety Technician – Plant Compliance & Training

As a Health and Safety Technician, you will support and provide an asset to Health & Safety in the area of required inspections of façade equipment, health monitoring, and documentation of safety at the Cheyenne, Wyoming Plant. Other duties include:

• Live and foster Dyno Nobel Values
• Ensure compliance with applicable HSE Performance Standards
• Support the maintenance & improvement of Health and Safety department for the Cheyenne, Wyoming Plant
• Daily filing and organizing safety related material
• Procedure writing (LOA, SWP, SSP, etc.)
• Conducting or assisting in Root Cause Analysis
• Conducting annual testing and recertification of OSHA mandated topics
• Assist plant personnel and contractors with safety training (SWP, SSP, etc.)
• Updating Evacuation Drill and Emergency Response Plan
• Turnaround preparation and execution
• Update monthly safety data for Key Performance Indicator Boards
• Assist plant personnel and contractors with safety training
• Inspects the following: fire extinguishers, escape packs, safety showers, eye wash stations, ladders, tools, fire hydrant, fire hose cabinet, fire engine inspections, fall protection equipment etc.
• Assist in LOPA’s, PHA’s, MOC’s, and MSDS updates
• Maintain site safety signs and HSE labelling of tanks, vessels etc.

• Technical certification, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
• Health and Safety experience or knowledge
• Knowledge of local and federal regulatory rules surrounding HSE preferred
• Some experience in a manufacturing plant experience preferred
• Strong computer skills with a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Program (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
• Positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player
