This position is responsible for expert knowledge of Imaging Nursing operations, patient care practices, sedation processes, and departmental workflows. Serves as the primary clinical resource for Imaging Nursing staff, providing leadership, training, mentoring, and operational support. Accountable for patient care quality, safety, staff development, workflow coordination, regulatory compliance, and patient experience while supporting the Mission, Vision, and Values of Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.

• Provides leadership, guidance, and support to Imaging Nursing staff and serves as the department resource for patient care standards, sedation practices, and regulatory readiness.
• Directs staffing requirements and develops staffing schedules that support patient, physician, and operational needs.
• Oversees daily workflow and departmental operations to promote efficient patient throughput, quality care, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Ensures departmental resources, including staff, equipment, and supplies, are utilized effectively while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Covers patient care shifts and assists with procedures within the scope of licensure as operational needs require.
• Leads quality, safety, patient experience, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with department leadership.
• Leads sedation quality, medication management, and regulatory readiness activities to ensure compliance with organizational, accreditation, and patient safety standards.
• Coordinates departmental preparedness for regulatory surveys, accreditation reviews, and quality audits.
• Maintains procedural protocols, quality control data, equipment maintenance programs, and required documentation to meet regulatory requirements.
• Maintains a positive work environment through effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and professional relationships with patients, staff, physicians, and other stakeholders.
• Communicates, coordinates, delegates, and oversees daily assignments within the Imaging Nursing department.
• Participates in employee interviews, onboarding, orientation, competency validation, staff development, and annual performance evaluations in collaboration with department leadership.
• Promotes a culture of safety, accountability, professional development, and continuous improvement.
• Ensures facility technical and documentation expectations are consistent with Joint Commission regulations and CRMC standards.
• Participates in call as required.

• License (must meet one of the following):
• Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Wyoming State Board of Nursing
• enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) license
• Three (3) or more years of acute care experience
• Two (2) or more years of Medical Imaging procedural nursing experience
• 14 Days:
  Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within fourteen (14) calendar days of start date

• Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing
• Previous leadership, charge nurse, preceptor or supervisory experience
• Moderate sedation experience
• Joint commission, accreditation, quality, or regulatory compliance experience
