We are seeking a dynamic Store Manager who embodies GNC's "Live Well" philosophy—living strong, living long, and living fit. As a Store Manager, you will be part of a team that is passionate about helping everyone win. With your understanding of business needs and passion for health and wellness, you’ll find great excitement in offering tailored and innovative solutions to each customer.
WhatYou'll Do
- Ensure products are merchandised according to GNC standards while keeping an eye towards products being easy to see and buy.
- Support the total shopping experience, including visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and the customer relationship that leads to sales and repeat business (e.g., MYGNC Rewards).
- Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals, while helping sales associates realize their sales potential.
- Build strong teams, demonstrate leadership, and employ managerial skills such as giving feedback to store associates regarding work performance on an ongoing basis, recruiting, hiring, and performance management.
- Open, close, and operate the retail facility, including but not limited to cash handling, inventory count, and deposits according to GNC procedures.
- Attend community fairs, conferences, meetings, and other public gatherings to promote the organization's mission and initiatives.
- Must be able to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
- Frequent reaching and bending and twisting below waist and above shoulders.
- Frequently required to use repetitive hand‑to‑finger motions and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift up to twenty pounds, occasionally up to forty pounds; push/pull up to twenty pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders, reach, and bend.
- Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, especially in the stock room areas.
- Use of a computer up to 60% of the time throughout the day.
- Managers of mall and strip center stores must work at least two nights during the week until closing, one weekend night, and one other night.
- Strip center managers must also work a full shift on Saturdays.
- Mall managers are expected to work peak business days including weekends (Saturday & Sunday).
- Managers are expected to work a minimum of one full Sunday per month.
- Managers of downtown stores must also work during the lunch hour of 11 am to 2 pm Monday through Friday. Downtown store managers must also work one night per week until closing if the store is open in the evening. Managers of downtown stores are not required to work Saturdays.
- Managers are expected to work all major U.S. holidays that the store is open.
