Lead Security Officer – Day Shift

• Conduct unarmed foot and/or vehicle patrol (interior and/or exterior)
• Control access and egress
• Monitor closed-circuit televisions and alarm systems
• Compose reports
• Deter criminal activity and misconduct
• Perform other duties as specified in post orders
• Patrol exterior grounds of the facility
• Provide access control for gates ensuring only authorized personnel are permitted
• Manage traffic flow at gates to ensure no disruption in business operations
• Maintain access log
• Monitor cameras after normal working hours
• Notify DPR personnel of any issues
• Observe and report any suspicious activity
• Maintain awareness of surroundings to promote physical security and safety; watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits; control/direct traffic

• Customer service experience
• A team player with a helpful disposition
• Excellent computer skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Able to pass a background check and 10-panel drug screen (zero tolerance drug policy)
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 40lbs.
• Ability to climb ladders and multiple flights of stairs to access elevated equipment
• Ability to stand for long periods of time in various work environments
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for equipment related tasks
• Basic physical fitness to respond quickly to emergency situations
• Good hand-eye coordination and dexterity for working with small components and connectors
• Clear vision, with or without correction, to perform tasks requiring attention to detail
• Ability to differentiate between color-coded warning signs, labels, and cables
• Ability to work in environments with a wide variety temperature inside a facility
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, rain, or snow
• Capability to work in environments with elevated noise levels while wearing hearing protection
• Possession of a valid driver’s license for work-related travel, as required

Demonstrates strong physical security capabilities through effective patrol, access control, and monitoring of surveillance systems. Possesses excellent customer service skills and the ability to respond to emergency situations while maintaining safety and security.
