Full-time Pipefitter Foreman Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Pipefitter Foreman to join our team on a full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pipe fitting, exceptional leadership skills, and proven project management experience. As a Pipefitter Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating pipe fitting projects, managing teams of pipe fitters, and ensuring the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.

• Lead and supervise teams of pipe fitters, apprentices, and helpers on various construction and maintenance projects
• Plan, organize, and coordinate pipe fitting activities to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements and specifications
• Develop and implement work schedules, assigning tasks to team members based on their skills and experience
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols on job sites
• Perform quality control inspections on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to coordinate work and resolve any issues that arise
• Manage inventory of tools, equipment, and materials, ensuring adequate supplies are available for projects
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Troubleshoot complex pipe fitting issues and develop effective solutions
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, and progress updates
• Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to the development of project timelines and budgets
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in pipe fitting
• Maintain open communication with clients, addressing their concerns and providing regular project updates

• 5-10 years of experience in pipe fitting, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
• Journeyman Pipefitter certification or equivalent
• Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating teams
• Strong project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
• Excellent knowledge of pipe fitting techniques, tools, and materials
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Thorough understanding of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry
• Experience with various piping systems, including process piping, hydraulic systems, and HVAC
• Familiarity with welding processes and ability to oversee welding operations
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
