Job Summary:

Loenbro is looking for Journeyman Electricians in the Cheyenne, WY area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taker, and experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.

Responsibilities
  • Perform installations, startups, troubleshooting, commissioning, and preventative maintenance for electrical systems per drawings and codes.
  • Execute First Time Energization (FTE), switching, Auto LOTO, load‑bank connections/removals, and Level 3–5 commissioning support.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, one‑line diagrams, schematics, and installation plans; lay out conduit, cable tray, and devices.
  • Follow approved Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and company safety protocols; maintain accurate work records and service documentation.
  • Support and mentor apprentices; coordinate with Foreman, Superintendents, project management, and clients.
  • Diagnose issues, respond to service calls, recommend improvements, and complete acceptance testing.
  • Participate in post‑project reviews and incorporate lessons learned.
Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Licensed Journeyman Electrician with 7+ years of commercial/industrial experience. Successful apprenticeship is required.
  • Seeking WY state electrical licensing in good standing or reciprocal journeyman licensing from AK, AR, CO, , MT, NE, NH, NM, ND, OK, OR, SD, TX, and UT.
  • Familiarity with data center systems, transfer schemes, switch gear, controllers, and pneumatic/electrical process controls.
  • Proficient reading blueprints, one‑line diagrams, risers, and electrical schematics.
  • Skilled with conduit bending tools, cable tray layout, device trim, and load‑bank operations.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; able to work independently as required.
  • Must be 18+ and able to pass pre‑employment drug screen and background checks.

Physical Demands
  • Standing, walking, sitting, lifting up to ~50 lbs., and carrying up to 500 lbs. over short distances.
  • Pushing and pulling, climbing ladders, stairs, and working at heights up to 50'.
  • Reading and understanding technical documents, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Work environments may be noisy, congested, and/or in confined spaces.
Work Environment
  • Varying temperatures and conditions; 8 to 10 hours daily, up to 6 days a week.
  • Use of personal tools and PPE; ladders and elevated work at various heights.
  • Follow safety procedures including contamination control, noise control, vibration, and building systems awareness.
