Field Service Technician - Level 2

Overview

Road Mechanic at Sunbelt Rentals — join a growing national company focused on safety, service, and growth. This role performs preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on equipment in a safe, efficient manner to minimize downtime. The typical fleet includes Aerial Work Platforms, general construction tools, and equipment; some locations maintain large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC systems, and oil & gas equipment.

Road Mechanic/Technician responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment to keep job sites productive. Work in challenging remote locations and with a team in a safety-focused environment.

• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on assigned equipment to ensure reliability and uptime
• Work on a variety of makes, models, and equipment
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical systems, and conduct repair work as needed
• Use appropriate tools of the trade and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Follow safety protocols and contribute to a safety-focused team culture

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED required; trade school or equivalent training desired
• Experience:
  
  3-5 years of mechanic experience with diesel equipment, heavy construction equipment, or specialty lines equipment (large-scale generators, pumps, HVAC, or Oil & Gas equipment) strongly preferred
• Licenses:
  Valid driver s license and acceptable driving record; CDL may be required in some locations (21 years of age)
• Skills:
  
  Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems; ability to provide mechanic s tools of the trade; willingness to be flexible with priorities
• Additional:
  Bilingual ability (Spanish or other) may be required based on location

May require bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors as needed.

Base Pay Range: $22.85 - $31.41 per hour. Starting pay varies by position, location, education, training, and experience. Sunbelt Rentals provides a comprehensive benefits package to full-time employees, including:
