- Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools
- Debug and resolve basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems
- Respond to basic warranty calls
- Provide customers with high level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items
- Serve as a trusted advisor, providing solutions and outcomes at the time of service
- Load system‑level controller software
- Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system‑level controllers to end devices (sensors, actuators, etc.) and complete required commissioning documentation
- Keep management and JCI contractor or customer informed of job progress and issues
- Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment
- Complete administrative tasks including timesheets, expense reports, and on‑site documentation
- Document changes and provide information for as‑built documentation
- Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site
- Follow all safety standards and attend required safety training, with high regard to employee and subcontractor safety
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facility is running efficiently, including upselling opportunities
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions
- 2‑year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least 4 years of industry experience, or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
- General knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers and outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner
- Ability to explain technical information to technical and non‑technical people; leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics on non‑complex, non‑critical building automation equipment on a job site
- PC experience required and ability to program HVAC related software
Hourly rate: $28.70 - $39.47 per hour (determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities)
