Role DescriptionThe Carpenter is a full-time, on-site position based in Cheyenne, WY. This role is responsible for performing rough and finish carpentry on commercial and industrial projects, including layout, framing, installation, and detailed trim work. Day-to-day tasks include measuring and cutting materials, assembling and installing walls, doors, windows, and fixtures, and reading and interpreting blueprints or construction plans. The Carpenter will safely operate and maintain hand tools and power tools, assist with site preparation and clean-up, and collaborate with supervisors and crew members to meet project timelines and quality standards.
The role may also involve working with other building materials and supporting general construction activities as needed.
- Strong carpentry skills, including experience in both rough and finish carpentry.
- Proficiency in framing and structural layout for commercial or industrial projects.
- Comfort and competence using hand tools such as hammers, tape measures, levels, and chisels.
- Safe and effective use of power tools, including saws, drills, nailers, and related equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
- Strong attention to detail, quality workmanship, and pride in completed work.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, standing, and working at heights or in varying weather conditions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around Cheyenne, WY.
- Previous construction or carpentry experience preferred; relevant certifications or vocational training are a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and clear communication with supervisors and crew members.
