The Building Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of residential and commercial properties by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections. This role ensures buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants, staff, and visitors.

Building Maintenance Technician Details:

• Temp-to-Hire position
• $ 20.00 to $ 22.00 / hour
• Full Time work available
• First Shift (Monday through Friday)

• On-call rotation for after-hours emergencies is required
• General Repairs:
  Perform routine repairs on doors, windows, flooring, drywall, locks, and fixtures
• HVAC Maintenance:
  Replace filters, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with licensed technicians when needed for both residential and commercial HVAC systems
• Plumbing Work:
  Address leaks, clogs, running toilets, and minor pipe repairs for both residential and commercial plumbing systems
• Electrical Tasks:
  Replace outlets, switches, lighting, and troubleshoot minor electrical issues
• Preventive Maintenance:
  Conduct scheduled inspections of building systems, equipment, and common areas
• Groundskeeping:
  Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, landscaping support, and debris cleanup

Building Maintenance Technician

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Demonstrated technical knowledge in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC basics
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting effectively with tenants, vendors, and property managers
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. occasionally and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods
• Preferred Qualifications:
• Trade certifications (e.g., EPA 608, HVAC, electrical apprentice)
• Experience in property management
