Building Maintenance Technician
The Building Maintenance Technician supports the daily operations of residential and commercial properties by performing repairs, preventive maintenance, and safety inspections. This role ensures buildings remain safe, functional, and well-maintained for tenants, staff, and visitors.

Building Maintenance Technician Details:
- Temp-to-Hire position
- $ 20.00 to $ 22.00 / hour
- Full Time work available
- First Shift (Monday through Friday)
- On-call rotation for after-hours emergencies is required
- General Repairs:
Perform routine repairs on doors, windows, flooring, drywall, locks, and fixtures - HVAC Maintenance:
Replace filters, troubleshoot issues, and coordinate with licensed technicians when needed for both residential and commercial HVAC systems - Plumbing Work:
Address leaks, clogs, running toilets, and minor pipe repairs for both residential and commercial plumbing systems - Electrical Tasks:
Replace outlets, switches, lighting, and troubleshoot minor electrical issues - Preventive Maintenance:
Conduct scheduled inspections of building systems, equipment, and common areas - Groundskeeping:
Maintain exterior areas including snow removal, landscaping support, and debris cleanup - And more!
Building Maintenance Technician
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Demonstrated technical knowledge in general building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC basics
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools safely
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, capable of interacting effectively with tenants, vendors, and property managers
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. occasionally and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, and standing for extended periods
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade certifications (e.g., EPA 608, HVAC, electrical apprentice)
- Experience in property management
- Applicant may be subject to a background check
