Cheyenne, WY | $27.00 - $42.00 per hour (Hourly)

Job Overview

Operate multiple types of heavy equipment — backhoe, dozer, excavator, loader, motor grader, scrapers, and more — to prepare job sites, grade terrain, and meet project specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate heavy equipment, including GPS and manual controls, to achieve precise grading and excavation.
  • Handle attachments, hydraulics, and perform trenching, loading, and material movement efficiently.
  • Operate equipment for roadways, building pads, ponds, and demolition projects.
  • Maintain equipment care, perform light maintenance, and ensure safe, damage-free operation.
  • Work in fast-paced, high-production environments with minimal supervision.
  • Support pipe crew operations and follow strict safety standards.
  • Position Requirements
  • Have a minimum of 3-7 years of Heavy Equipment Operating Experience with multiple types of equipment or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Willing to do laborer work.
  • Ability to work as a team member and maintain a professional attitude.
  • Motivated self-starter who can manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work safely under pressure with time constraints in a changing environment.
  • Frequent gross body movements such as bending, climbing into equipment, lifting (up to 75 lbs), twisting, standing, balancing, stooping, handling materials, and moving around hazardous sites.
  • Good eye‑to‑hand coordination and depth perception are required.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Flexible availability to include overtime and possible weekends.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly, listen, and understand information through spoken words and sentences to ensure full comprehension of job duties, safety regulations, and other situations that may require an immediate response.
