Job DescriptionSupports the 153d Airlift Wing's facilities, including 17 main habitable buildings totaling 400,000 square feet of heated space. To maintain, repair, inspect, and upgrade electrical distribution, fire alarm, and fire suppression systems, and provide critical protection of C-130 aircraft and building occupants.
Essential functions include maintaining electrical components through preventative maintenance of systems and equipment, installing new power and lighting circuits, monitoring and maintaining fire alarm systems, maintaining lightning protection systems, reviewing electrical projects, assisting other trades, acquiring and maintaining a security clearance, participating in snow removal, and computer knowledge.
QualificationsPreference will be given to those applicants with a Journeyman level licensing and must be able to show the licensing in the State of Wyoming. Knowledge of electrical principles and practices, specialized systems such as fire alarms and security systems, ability to work with mechanical systems, and knowledge of the electrical trade's tools, materials, methods, and practices are required. Minimum qualifications include Journeyman's Electrician License.
NecessarySpecial Requirements
Physical working conditions include working in and out of doors in various weather conditions, travel as required, ability to lift 50lbs, climb ladders, and work in tight spaces. A valid Wyoming driver's license is required for this position. This individual will also be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance and report to the base on short notice at times for emergency maintenance and snow removal.
