Maintenance Technician
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and production systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with industrial machinery, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and production machinery.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues using blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, engineering specifications, and precision measuring tools.
- Diagnose root causes of equipment failures through observation, testing, and diagnostic equipment.
- Remove, repair, and replace defective components using hand tools, hoists, cranes, and other maintenance equipment.
- Measure and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical and electrical components to maintain optimal performance.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
- Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs during shift handoffs.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
- Experience with mechanical repair and preventive maintenance programs.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and repair industrial equipment.
- Understanding of safe maintenance practices and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
- Certificate or diploma in an industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related technical field.
- Experience in industrial maintenance, particularly corrective or breakdown maintenance.
- Familiarity with diagnostic and testing equipment, including:
- Volt-Ohm Meters (VOM)
- Oscilloscopes
- IR Temperature Probes
- Multimeters
- Meggers
- Amperage Clamp Meters
- Experience working with:
- AC/DC and Servo Drives
- Motors
- PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
- HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces)
- Closed-Loop Control Systems
- Mechanical and machinist experience, including:
- Drills and Grinders
- Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems
- Valves
- Vacuum Pumps
- Lubrication Systems

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
