Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of industrial equipment and production systems to ensure maximum uptime and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities, experience working with industrial machinery, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on motors, gearboxes, pneumatic systems, conveyors, and production machinery.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using blueprints, electrical schematics, manuals, engineering specifications, and precision measuring tools.
  • Diagnose root causes of equipment failures through observation, testing, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Remove, repair, and replace defective components using hand tools, hoists, cranes, and other maintenance equipment.
  • Measure and verify part dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate mechanical and electrical components to maintain optimal performance.
  • Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and support continuous operations.
  • Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment issues.
  • Communicate equipment status and maintenance needs during shift handoffs.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Experience with mechanical repair and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ability to operate, maintain, and repair industrial equipment.
  • Understanding of safe maintenance practices and safety regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certificate or diploma in an industrial, mechanical, electrical, or related technical field.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, particularly corrective or breakdown maintenance.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic and testing equipment, including:
    • Volt-Ohm Meters (VOM)
    • Oscilloscopes
    • IR Temperature Probes
    • Multimeters
    • Meggers
    • Amperage Clamp Meters
  • Experience working with:
    • AC/DC and Servo Drives
    • Motors
    • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces)
    • Closed-Loop Control Systems
  • Mechanical and machinist experience, including:
    • Drills and Grinders
    • Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems
    • Valves
    • Vacuum Pumps
    • Lubrication Systems

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Cheyenne, WY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
