Job Description & How to Apply Below
Position: Mobile Diesel Power Systems Technician (Field Service)

A day in the life

You start your morning reviewing jobs in the DEUTZ Service Department ticketing system, confirming parts availability, and topping up your truck’s inventory so first-call fixes are the norm. A customer calls—an engine won’t start at a construction site. You roll out, run diagnostics with portable tooling and software (including Serdia and Serpic), isolate the fault, complete the repair to manufacturer specifications, and finish with a cosmetic once-over so the unit looks as good as it runs.

You close out the work order and time sheet on the spot, return any unused parts per DEUTZ Power Center guidelines, and coordinate next steps with our Service Supervisor, Parts Department, and Engineering/Warranty team as needed. By afternoon, you’re scheduled for a preventative maintenance visit, ensuring another customer’s DEUTZ or non-DEUTZ construction equipment is ready for the next shift. Before heading home, you clean and inspect your DOT-compliant service truck and make sure your inventory is set for tomorrow.
