ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSThe listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function which may be performed in the job level.
- Answer all questions including complex questions regarding the Driver s Services/Driver s License departments.
- These positions have a large amount of technical knowledge of the entire Drivers Services organization.
- Answer questions from the public without the need to transfer any calls.
- First-line of response, answering phones, and are very knowledgeable about each area within the Driver Services Department as well as the Field offices.
- Stay current on statutes and laws in order to answer basic questions for drivers, lawyers, etc.
- Liaison with law enforcement, court systems, other states, commercial drivers with regard to drivers services information.
- Able to assist any of the sections within Driver Services.
- Experience working in driver services, motor vehicle administration, or a related regulatory or customer service environment
- Knowledge of state driver licensing laws, federal regulations, and policies related to driver licenses and identification cards
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with the public, staff, and other state agencies
- Demonstrated ability to research, interpret, and evaluate records and documentation for accuracy and compliance
- Experience resolving complex issues and providing solutions in a fast-paced, detail-oriented setting
- Proficiency with computer systems, databases, and standard office software, with the ability to learn specialized driver services systems
- Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
