GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Join the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) as a Temporary Sample Truck Driver in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and play a key role in ensuring the safety and efficiency of our transportation system! As a Sample Truck Driver, you'll enjoy the freedom of working independently while taking on an exciting range of responsibilities. Your job will include transporting vital materials to and from the Materials Lab and district offices, all while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining a smooth and efficient operation.

Human Resource Contact:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:- Drives the sample truck throughout the state
- Cleans and maintains the sample truck
- Loads and unloads samples from field offices
- Ensures samples are delivered to the State Materials Lab
- Delivers supplies around the state as necessary
Preference will be given to those with a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license.
KNOWLEDGE:- Knowledge of vehicle operation and basic maintenance
- Knowledge of basic computer operation
- Ability to learn and understand the scope and importance of public and worker safety on the roadway
- Ability to get along with co‑workers and communicate with field offices throughout the state
- Ability to drive long hours

- Extensive out-of-town travel is required
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
