DescriptionThe Delivery Driver/Warehouse Worker is responsible for delivering merchandise to customer locations and job sites, picking up returned goods, and performing all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping, and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining a safe and orderly warehouse.
$18.00 – 22.00 per hour; M-F, 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Plan delivery routes to use time and equipment efficiently.
- Deliver orders to customer locations and job sites.
- Pull material from storage yard and warehouse to fill pick tickets, verify quantities and items against invoices, and load merchandise into the company vehicle.
- Ensure delivery receipts are signed by customers and inspect returned merchandise for condition, quantity and catalog numbers.
- Maintain assigned equipment in clean condition, perform routine inspection and preventative maintenance, and report defects or repairs to supervisor.
- Verify received materials by checking merchandise against packing lists and purchase orders.
- Transport, gather, distribute, and stock material safely and efficiently.
- Maintain excellent attendance and be available for overtime as required.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- General knowledge of warehouse procedures and ability to operate material handling equipment safely.
- Clean driving record and able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
- Experience driving stake bed trucks or other large vehicles.
- Knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
Proficient in reading, writing and speaking English; ability to read routine reports or job orders; oral communication skills with coworkers and customers.
Mathematical SkillsAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to interpret documents and instructions in written, oral, or schedule form; organize and prioritize job projects.
Attendance & Physical DemandsAttendance required Monday–Friday during normal business hours; overtime may be required.
Regular use of hands to grasp, lift, and reach; required to lift up to 10 lbs regularly, up to 50 lbs frequently, and up to 75 lbs occasionally. Must be able to adjust focus and has typical visual requirements.
Work Environment- Loud noise levels.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures; work both inside and outside, including on elevated balconies.
