CDL Driver

This position is for a Driver on a skilled team, responsible for ensuring efficient operations within our shop. This position will report to the Shop Manager. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise and a commitment to safety and quality.

• Safely operate commercial vehicles (e.g., dump trucks, lowboys, water trucks, flatbeds) to transport materials and heavy equipment
• Haul construction equipment such as excavators, loaders, rollers, and paving machines between job sites
• Load and secure equipment properly using chains, binders, and straps to meet DOT regulations
• Plan routes and ensure timely delivery to active construction sites

• Assist with loading and unloading equipment, including operating ramps or hydraulic trailers
• Perform basic operation of transported equipment when needed (spotting, positioning, staging)
• Support field crews with material delivery (aggregate, asphalt, concrete, etc.)
• Communicate with foremen and site supervisors to coordinate deliveries

• Conduct pre‑trip and post‑trip inspections of vehicles and trailers
• Identify and report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately
• Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of truck and hauling equipment
• Ensure proper fluid levels, tire condition, and overall vehicle readiness

• Minimum 1 year experience with CDL
• Valid DOT physical
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
